A hernia is a tear in your muscle or tissue that allows part of your insides to stick out. It can be a bulge of an internal organ or your intestines. Sometimes you can see the hernia, depending on its location and size.
Certain activities can worsen the condition, like bending over or lifting heavy objects
Dr. Vivek Tank is well-versed in advanced hernia surgery techniques that significantly reduce recurrence rates. According to recent research, laparoscopy surgery produces the best results.
Types of Hernia
Inguinal Hernia:
Inguinal hernias are the most common type of male hernia, appearing as a bulge in the groyne and running from the abdomen to the scrotum. Men are more prone to this than women. Inguinal hernias occur when fat tissue
or a portion of the bowel protrudes through the inguinal canal, a section of the lower abdominal wall.
Femoral Hernia : Femoral hernias also occur when tissue pushes through a soft point in the muscle wall of the groin or inner thigh. That is more common in women than men.
Umbilical Hernia : An umbilical hernia occurs when part of the bowel or abdominal tissue pushes through an area near the stomach button, pushing through a soft spot in the surrounding belly wall.
Ventral Hernia : A ventral hernia is a point of tissues through the possibility of weakness within your abdominal wall muscles. It can occur at any location on your abdominal wall.
